Inspire India Launched

Inspire India was re-launched after a hiatus of 6 years when it started operations as a Trust in 2004. The first newsletter of Inspire India went out in the latter part of 1998. Some ideas take a long time to take root because they are deep. It is the case with Inspire India which started its journey in 1997 summer and slowly took shape from 1998.

It has changed various forms from then on but has retained its original character of inspiring thought in Indian people.

On the 30th of April 2010, at a small function at the Hotel Green Park in Hyderabad, Inspire India came back to life once again.

Injected with a new spirit brought in by new members the event took off and ended in an inspiring way. Bharat Barki, the young Director of NEST Ltd., and Mrs. Sridevi Nadella, the cheerful and spirited Lawyer, provided the anchor for an evening that focused on India and its youth.

The Chief Guest for the evening was Ramanand P, Vice President HR & Admin. - GVK Power & Infrastructure Ltd. and also Head HR - GVK EMRI.

Ramanand spoke on the importance of harnessing the capacity of young people and cited various examples of young achievers of India. He also gave a very logical explanation of what might be the cause for not having more young achievers in India (click for text of speech).

Speaking also on the occasion were Jagannatha Rao, Director of Sankalp Learning Systems, and Mr. Amarjeet Kudle, Hotelier and Entrepreneur, La Villa Bethany.

The speeches were followed by a discussion and dinner which lasted for 40 mins more than the scheduled time. The spirit of the evening was totally in keeping with the subject of the evening, Inspire India.
